Wine News
Salmon Run Coho Red…$8.99
Exquisitely balanced to present an easy to drink, slightly fruity
off-dry taste. Very popular, this vibrantly refreshing red wine is
skillfully blended by their winemakers to produce a proprietary blend
from classic vinifera grapes. Flavors of raspberries and cherries are
wrapped in a soft full-bodied style making this an ideal everyday wine.
Salmon Run Cold Brook White…$8.99
Off-dry and very appealing with its fruity intensity, moderate acidity
and smooth finish. With luscious aromas of citrus and melon, this Cold
Brook White makes an ideal everyday white wine. Fruity with aromas of
plum, melon, citrus and hazelnut, this wine shows great balance. A
creamy texture, ripe fruit and a lingering finish make this a very
appealing wine to pair with seafood, poultry and lighter fare.
Chateau Gigognan Cotes du Rhone 2005…$12.99
A new vintage for the one of the most popular Rhone wines we’ve ever
sold. Brilliant red with generous aromas of red berries and spicy
notes, the red "Vigne du Prieure " is supple and rich and at the same
time very lush. Recommended pairing with either red or white meat,
cooked pork meats or cheese. Blended with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre,
Carignan and Cinsault.
Beer News
Stone Double Bastard…$7.99/22oz.
This malt & hop monster is not for the timid however, so beware. For
their tenth year of Doubling your Arrogance, they've replaced the white
ink on the bottles with silver. That means all the hoarders, collectors,
and stockpilers out there had better start clearing room in the 'fridge
or cellar!
Troegs Mad Elf…$13.99/6pk
The combination of Cherries, Honey, and Chocolate Malts delivers gentle
fruits and subtle spices. Fermented and aged with a unique yeast, this
ruby red beer has significant warming strength that underlies the
pleasant character of this intriguing yet delicious Ale.
New Beer in Cans from Butternuts!
Butternuts Moo Thunder Stout…$7.99/6pk
This stout beer pays tribute to the Butternuts Brewery's former life as
a dairy farm, thus the sexy cow on the can. It's a lighter, more
drinkable version of the Stout breed than its heavy, boorish and smelly
European sisters. Not too strong, not too viscous
(oooh...viscous...creepy). Unlike a true bovine it has a malty, roasty
aroma and a dry finish but no tail or teats, and leaves no unsightly cow
pies laying around the yard for you to step in.
Butternuts Snapperhead IPA…$7.99/6pk
Their India Pale Ale packs a typical IPA punch but strikes a better
balance between dryness and drinkability. It's every bit as rich but a
little less bitter than other American interpretations of the breed.
They use 2 row barley with no goofy processing and employ a 2 week dry
hop process before they put it in the can.
Also look for Dogfish Head Pangea, Ten Fidy Imperial Stout, Santa’s
Butt, Bad Elf, Very Bad Elf, Seriously Bad Elf, and Lump of Coal.
